What is a vortex? A vortex is a place where energy goes in and/or out of a system. Examples are earth vortexes, chakras & acupuncture points in our bodies, and galaxies and black holes in the Universe. Scientific experiments have shown that vortex energy moves in a spiraling way (vertere, Latin for spiraling). Earth Vortexes are found in many places around the planet. Sedona has many, and a very large variety of types. When in proximity to these places, you may be affected to varying degrees; some people feel more relaxed and meditative in some spots, or more energized in others.

Mark Amaru Pinkham is a popular spiritual teacher, researcher, and author of four ground-breaking books detailing the history, practices and current revival of the Goddess Tradition: The Return of the Serpents of Wisdom, Conversations with the Goddess, The Truth Behind the Christ Myth, and Guardians of the Holy Grail: The Knights Templar, John the Baptist and the Water of Life.

She has received extensive shamanic training from various shamen in Peru and North America, and is adept at leading rituals to connect with the Earth, as well as one's inner Spirit. She has been a Reiki practitioner since 1988 and the Reiki Grand Master of the One World Reiki System since 1991. Andrea is an Intuitive Channel. From her years of study in Peru with the Inca Elders she is a Mesa Carrier and Practitioner in the Inca Spiritual Tradition.

TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1. Wednesday, Oct 1. To Sedona - Welcome Dinner (D)
Since this is a Land Only package from Body Mind Spirit Journeys, you will need to make your own arrangements to Sedona.
Options:
1. Fly from your home city to Phoenix, AZ. Please schedule your airline reservations to arrive at Sky Harbor Airport by 1:00PM in order to meet our 2:00PM shuttle departure to Sedona. Depart Sky Harbor Airport and transfer north to the beautiful and breathtaking Red Rock Country.
2. Drive on your own to Sedona (credit given for not taking the airport shuttle).
Check into your luxurious hotel in the heart of town. Open the curtains, walk out onto the communal balcony outside your room and gaze at the majestic scene before you. All rooms have a view of the awesome Red Rocks! Evening “Welcome to Sedona Dinner” with your group of other like-minded Singles and your Sedona Vortex Guides & Speakers Andrea & Mark Pinkham.

Day 2. Thursday, October 2. Airport Mesa and Bell Rock (B)
Enjoy your delicious continental breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards we depart to Airport Mesa Vortex, the only place in Sedona where you can get a 360-degree panoramic view of the entire Sedona area. Bring your camera! AND…prepare yourself for a potent time, as this power spot lies at the apex of a triangle uniting three of the four main vortexes. In other words - it’s really “charged!” Mark will share information about the geological and esoteric history of Sedona. He and Andrea will lead an Opening Ceremony to help you begin to connect with the magic energies of Sedona!

Return to the hotel. Enjoy lunch on your own at a nearby restaurant. There are several within walking distance of the hotel.

In the afternoon we visit the great sentinel and beacon of Sedona’s principal vortexes - Bell Rock! We'll take an easy walk up on the formation a short way and enjoy the incredible views! Here, where the upward flowing energies assist to send out prayers and affirmations, Andrea and Mark will lead a Ceremony for World Peace.

Return to the hotel. Free time for rest and integration; don't forget those luscious sunset views from the hotel balcony! Dinner on your own. Invite one of your new Singles friends to join you at one of Sedona's numerous restaurants and enjoy a variety of natural, ethnic and/or continental cuisine. (Shuttle from/to hotel available)

Day 3. Friday, October 3. Visit to Cathedral Rock; Free Time (B)
Our morning vortex site visit is to Cathedral Rock, one of Sedona's most famous vortex sites, representing beauty and spirituality for people worldwide. We take an easy walk to magnificent vista points. At a nearby medicine wheel, Andrea and Mark will facilitate a traditional Four Directions Ceremony to harness the energies that abound here, to soothe, balance and harmonize our body, mind and spirit!

Return to the hotel. Lunch on your own. The afternoon is free to explore Sedona on your own! ENJOY! Take a Jeep Tour, enjoy a massage, energy work session, psychic reading, past life regression, or tarot reading. For a bit of Retail Therapy, visit the local metaphysical bookstores or crystal shops. What goodies are awaiting you to take home for yourself or others? Or take in incredible paintings and sculptures at some of the finest art galleries in the Southwest. Dinner on your own with your new singles friends.

Day 4. Saturday, October 4. Boynton Canyon, Farewell Dinner (B/D)
We journey this morning to Boynton Canyon, with its soothing and nurturing feminine energies. You may feel like you're being held in the arms of the Mother Earth! It's a short walk to Kachina Woman Rock for spectacular views of the surrounding area. Then Andrea and Mark will facilitate our Closing Ceremony & Meditation, a time to give thanks for all the gifts of insight, inspiration and healing that you've received during the retreat!

Return to the hotel. Lunch on your own. You have free time this afternoon for more individual exploration of Sedona with your new Singles friends! 

We gather this evening for our Farewell Dinner at a local restaurant, a time to enjoy a meal of delicious Southwest cuisine, share with each other our visions, hopes and dreams that we will be taking home from mystical and magical Sedona.

Day 5. Sunday, October 5. Depart Sedona (B)

After breakfast, depart on the shuttle for Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix to connect with your afternoon flight home. Or, depart on your own.
